REKLINE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY POLICY

 

This manufacturer warranty applies to the following REKLINE products:

  • Smart Recliner Sofas
  • Electric Recliner Chairs
  • Adjustable Smart Beds
  • Gaming Capsules and Pods
  • Massage Chairs
  • Ergonomic Office Chairs (with massage or recline features)
  • Smart LED Nightstands, Mirrors, and Décor

This is not an extended protection plan and does not replace insurance or third-party cover (e.g., Castelan). It is a REKLINE-backed warranty that aligns with UK consumer law and our standards of safety, quality, and fairness. Claims are governed by our Defects, Complaints & Returns Policy. Warranty is not an automatic entitlement to refund or replacement; each claim is investigated based on merit, usage, and care conditions.

✅ WHAT IS COVERED?

This warranty covers manufacturing defects that:

  • Impair core structure, function, or safety
  • Arise from production or internal component faults
  • Prevent the product from working as intended or advertised

Examples of covered faults:

  • Metal frame collapse due to production fault
  • Bed or recliner lift mechanism failure (not misuse)
  • Electrical fire hazard or shock due to internal defect
  • Faulty PCB, wiring, or controller from manufacturing
  • Structural stitching faults
  • Internal frame spring failure (not caused by misuse)

❌ WHAT IS NOT COVERED — STRICT EXCLUSIONS

1. Smart Parts, Plug-In Modules & Accessories

USB ports, lights, cupholder speakers, massage motors, recline switches, Bluetooth chips, fingerprint locks, transformers, and LED modules are consumable components prone to failure from:

  • Power surges
  • Handling or physical stress
  • Liquids
  • Environmental conditions

These items are excluded from the blanket 12-month cover. Repair or replacement is at REKLINE’s discretion. Failure of these parts does not qualify as a legal defect and does not entitle you to a full refund or replacement.

2. Wear, Damage, or Misuse (Not a Manufacturer Defect)

  • Fabric pilling, leather creasing, colour variation or patina
  • Stains, burns, scratches, or tears after delivery
  • Pressure marks, bent arms or panels due to jumping, leaning, or overload
  • Foam dipping and seat height variations from regular use
  • Discolouration from lighting or usage
  • Damage from manual force, moving while plugged in, or recliner obstruction

3. Environmental Factors & Home Conditions

  • Power surges, fuse trips, voltage spikes
  • Use in damp, humid, cold, or unventilated rooms
  • Liquids entering ports, buttons, cupholders, or seams
  • Overheating from covered vents or enclosed spaces
  • Use on unstable or unfinished flooring

Products must be used as instructed in the Care & Safety Policy. Environmental misuse voids warranty.

4. Behavioural Misuse — Breach of Care & Safety Policy

Warranty is automatically void if the product is misused, including but not limited to:

  • Continuous running of massage/heat/chill functions
  • Leaving devices plugged in overnight
  • Jumping, bouncing, or applying concentrated pressure
  • Sitting or standing on arms or motor panels
  • Child or pet interference with internal components
  • Reclining into walls or obstacles
  • Not unplugging during storms, relocations, or power cuts
  • Standing up before returning the recliner to a closed position

📦 WARRANTY LENGTH & ELIGIBILITY

  • 12 months from the date of delivery against manufacturing faults
  • Valid only for the original purchaser with proof of purchase
  • Applies only to products bought from REKLINE or authorised partners
  • Warranty is void if resold, gifted, transferred, or purchased via unauthorised marketplaces

🛠️ HOW TO CLAIM

  1. Email support@rekline.co.uk with name, order ID, and issue description
  2. Attach clear photos and videos of the fault
  3. Provide proof of care and correct usage if required

We aim to:

  • Diagnose within 3 business days
  • Offer repair, part replacement, or technical support
  • Source replacement components within 6–10 weeks (for non-stock parts)

REKLINE reserves the right to:

  • Request video walkthroughs or voiceover proof
  • Require faulty parts returned for diagnostics
  • Decline claims caused by misuse, wear, or invalid submissions
  • Charge fees for missed engineer visits or failed collections
  • Pause or cancel claims if the customer is uncooperative

🛡️ REPAIR-FIRST POLICY & RESOLUTION AUTHORITY

All warranty resolutions follow a repair-first approach as required by UK law.

  • Refunds or full replacements are only offered if the product is unsafe or unusable due to a confirmed structural defect
  • We must be unable to repair or replace within a reasonable timeframe
  • Small component failures (USBs, lights, massage pads) do not qualify for full refunds

The final decision to repair, replace, or issue a partial refund rests with REKLINE after full assessment.

🔒 WEIGHT CAPACITY LIMITATIONS

  • 110kg per seat (single occupancy)
  • 200kg for a 2-seater sofa
  • 300kg for a 3-seater sofa

Exceeding these thresholds voids coverage for related damages.

👉 PARTIAL REFUND CALCULATIONS (SOFA SETS)

  • 3-Seater Sofa: 60% of purchase price
  • 2-Seater Sofa: 40% of purchase price

🔒 SALE & DISPLAY PRODUCTS

Items sold at reduced prices, clearance, or as display models are sold as-seen and excluded from this warranty.

🔒 WARRANTY CONDITIONS & FINAL WARNINGS

Warranty is automatically void if:

  • The product is resold, gifted, or transferred
  • Purchased through unauthorised sellers or marketplaces
  • Any self-repair, third-party tampering, or modification occurs
  • Evidence is staged, withheld, or misleading
  • Reporting or inspection processes are not followed
  • Engineer visits are missed or refused
  • Outstanding payments remain unpaid

This warranty operates alongside REKLINE’s Defects, Complaints & Returns Policy to ensure fair, lawful outcomes. Warranty does not cover wear & tear, misuse, or aesthetic preferences.
