π¨ Safety & Liability Notice
REKLINE smart furniture includes electric motors, USB ports, chillers, massage units, cupholders, and structural mechanics. These carry real risks if used improperly. Misuse may result in electric shock, fire, entrapment, property damage, or injury.
This policy forms part of your purchase agreement. Ignoring it may void your warranty and damage your asset.
πΆπΎ Child & Pet Safety
- Never allow children or pets to operate recliners.
- Do not let children crawl under, jump on, or hide in/behind furniture.
- Keep remotes, toggles and USB panels out of reach.
- Never allow a child to jump off a reclined sofa or climb between footrests.
- Do not allow unsupervised play near motors, wiring, or moving parts β injury risk.
- REKLINE accepts no liability for injuries caused by unsupervised or improper use.
Tips for Child Safety:
- Supervise children at all times while using recliner features.
- Teach proper use and explain moving part dangers.
- Keep children away from recliner mechanisms, edges, and electrical outlets.
- Lock recliners when not in use if applicable.
β‘ Electrical Safety & Smart Components
- Use surge-protected BS1363/A extension leads only.
- Never daisy-chain recliners or plug multiple heavy-load devices into one socket.
- Never use damaged, loose, wet, or frayed cables.
- Always unplug before moving.
- Never operate during storms, power cuts, or fluctuations.
- Keep liquids away from ports and cupholders.
- Do not connect to circuits without modern RCD protection.
- Contact REKLINE for service β do not self-repair electrical parts.
π₯ Cupholders & Liquid Damage
- Cupholders are not waterproof.
- Never place drinks near buttons, seams, or between cushions.
- If liquid spills: Power off immediately, do not recline, dry externally, contact REKLINE support.
- Damage from drinks or cleaning sprays entering electrics is not covered.
π§΅ Moving Parts & Entrapment Risk
- Do not insert fingers, hands, tools, or objects into motor joints.
- Do not force footrests closed manually.
- Keep 10cm gap behind recliners and the under-sofa area clear.
- Never jump off or lean heavily on open footrests.
- Do not twist or push from awkward angles β internal damage risk.
π₯ Heat, Fire & Placement Risks
- Keep away from gas fires, cookers, radiators, heat vents, and curtains.
- Do not drape clothes or fabrics over motor areas.
- Avoid high humidity, poor airflow, or damp floors.
- Warning signs: Burning smell, overheating, buzzing β power off and contact us.
π Environmental Risks
- Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading and drying.
- Do not place in garages, basements, or damp rooms.
- Avoid oils, sprays, incense, and candles near the sofa.
π Cleaning & Material Care
Weekly Maintenance: Vacuum with a soft head and wipe dust with a dry/lightly damp cloth.
Leather (Top Grain / Semi-Aniline):
- No baby wipes, alcohol, bleach, or household sprays.
- Clean with water-damp cloth, then dry.
- Condition with specialist cream every 3β6 months.
Fabric / Resilience Material:
- Vacuum weekly with brush head.
- Spot-clean with diluted fabric-safe detergent.
- Do not soak or use carpet cleaners or enzyme sprays.

- Do not leave chillers, heaters, or massage running long-term.
- Do not leave devices charging unattended.
- Unplug during long absences or holidays.
- Turn off lights, speakers, and bulbs when not in use.
- Leaving massage or heat running for hours may overheat motors and void coverage.

- Two people sharing one seat

- Pushing footrest/backrest manually
- Not unplugging when moving or during holidays
- Leaving motors running overnight
- Connecting to faulty or unsafe power
- Pet damage: chewing, scratching, sleeping inside

- Use all seats equally to avoid uneven wear
- Clean monthly and inspect wiring
- Handle switches and headrests gently
- Use throws to protect from spills, pets, and heat
- Log care proof and keep receipts for warranty support
