REKLINE AFTER DELIVERY GUIDANCE — KEY FACTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Thank you for choosing REKLINE. This guide sets out the most important facts you need to know immediately after receiving your product. Please read this carefully — it forms part of your purchase agreement and is designed to protect both you and our business.

✅ FIRST THINGS FIRST — TREAT IT LIKE AN ASSET

This is not a regular sofa. It is a smart, motorised, high-spec recliner designed with advanced components, engineered support, and high-performance electrics. It must be treated like a valuable, long-term asset — not a gym bench, trampoline, or toy. If looked after properly, it will serve you for years to come.

🛋️ GENERAL USE & SAFETY

  • One person per seat only unless specified
  • Never sit, stand, jump, or lean on arms, footrests, or cupholders
  • Always return footrests fully upright before standing up
  • Never wedge or push the sofa into a wall
  • Never let children crawl or hide underneath — serious risk
  • Never use body weight or force to close footrests — motors only

🧽 CLEANING & CARE

  • Use only REKLINE-approved cleaning kits — anything else may stain or void warranty
  • Never use baby wipes, alcohol, window spray, or bleach products
  • Clean only with a dry, soft cloth and hoover regularly with a soft head
  • Avoid water, damp cloths, or any excessive moisture
  • Keep pets and claws away from material — scratches and damage are not covered

☀️ PROTECTION & PLACEMENT

  • Keep out of direct sunlight or intense heat — this can warp and fade material
  • Never block ventilation points or wedge against surfaces

⚡ SMART FEATURES & ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS

  • Never leave USB ports, heated seats, or massage running overnight or unattended
  • Always unplug the recliner when not in use to avoid surge or overheating risk
  • Do not overload plugs or connect non-PAT tested accessories
  • Never let children operate any electrical controls

📵 USBs, cupholder lights, massage modules, speakers, LEDs, recliner buttons, or transformers are not eligible for refund. These are smart parts, not structural defects. They can be repaired or replaced where reasonable — but multiple failures do not entitle you to a return. We may investigate the cause of the issue, including your power setup and usage history. 🛑 SHOWROOM SALES — NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS

All purchases made in person at our showroom are final. These do not fall under UK distance selling regulations and are not eligible for cancellation, change-of-mind return, or refund. You are expected to inspect and test the item before payment. Once accepted and paid, the sale is complete.

♻️ OLD SOFA REMOVAL

  • This is a destruction service. Removed items are immediately broken down and discarded.
  • They cannot be recovered or refunded.
  • Item must be clean, dry, safe to lift — and not block access.

🔁 REPAIRS FIRST, NOT REFUNDS

We do not operate on a refund-first basis. All issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Our team will always inspect, investigate, and offer a technician or replacement part if needed. Refunds are never granted unless all repair routes are exhausted, and a genuine structural or safety defect is proven.

📸 WHAT TO DO IF THERE’S AN ISSUE

  • Email support@rekline.co.uk immediately
  • Attach 60-second narrated video
  • Include clear photos
  • Add your full name, order number, and issue description
  • Do not attempt DIY fixes or use third parties

📣 CHARGEBACK & FALSE CLAIM WARNING

We take false, exaggerated, or staged complaints very seriously. All deliveries are filmed and documented. Submitting fake evidence, raising a chargeback before contacting us, damaging products and claiming they arrived that way, or misleading us to gain a refund or replacement is considered fraud.

Any attempt to manipulate, exaggerate, or misrepresent facts for personal gain will result in immediate legal action. We reserve the right to sue for:

  • Recovery of legal fees
  • Compensation for financial losses
  • Lost sales and business disruption
  • Investigation and administration costs
  • Damages for reputational harm

We will also report any fraudulent claims to the police for criminal investigation under Section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006, where dishonestly making a false representation for benefit is a criminal offence punishable by law.

We protect our business and will pursue all fraudulent or abusive claims through every legal channel.
