REKLINE EXTENDED WARRANTY & INSURANCE POLICY (CASTELAN)
Applies To: Customers who purchase optional Castelan extended warranty plans via REKLINE.
✨ WHAT IS CASTELAN EXTENDED WARRANTY?
Castelan Group is a third-party insurance provider offering optional extended cover for your REKLINE furniture. This policy protects your product against accidental damage, stains, structural faults, and more — depending on the level of cover purchased.
This warranty is separate from REKLINE’s standard manufacturer warranty and is provided under Castelan’s own terms and conditions.

🔒 1. COVERAGE INCLUSIONS (Castelan Terms Apply)
Coverage may include, but is not limited to:
- Accidental stains (food, drink, ink, makeup)
- Rips, tears, and burns
- Pet damage (scratches, bites) – depending on cover
- Frame or structural failure
- Recliner or mechanism faults
Check your Castelan certificate for:
- Your specific level of cover
- Term length (usually 5 years)
- What is and is not covered
1A. ELIGIBILITY & FEES
- Only available to customers purchasing eligible REKLINE products from authorised retailers.
- Must be purchased within [XX days] of the original purchase date (per Castelan terms).
- Activation fees vary by product type and coverage level, and must be fully paid to activate.
❌ 2. EXCLUSIONS (Commonly Not Covered)
Castelan policies may not cover:
- General wear and tear
- Commercial use or second-hand products
- Damage from misuse, abuse, or unauthorised repairs
- Damage occurring before the cover started
- Loss, theft, or fire (typically under home insurance)
Exclusions depend on your specific Castelan policy.
🔄 3. COOLING-OFF PERIOD
Customers have 14 days from the policy start date to cancel their Castelan cover for a full refund. After this, cancellations follow Castelan’s refund rules.
3A. TERM & TRANSFERABILITY
- Warranty term begins from the original product purchase date.
- Typical duration: up to 5 years (per certificate).
- Cover may be transferable to a new owner with Castelan’s approval, documentation, or fees.
🚨 4. CLAIMS PROCESS
To make a claim, you must:
- Contact Castelan directly (not REKLINE)
- Provide:
- Proof of purchase
- Policy certificate number
- Photos or video of the damage
- Description of how and when the issue occurred
Castelan may arrange inspection, repair, replacement, or settlement. All decisions are at their sole discretion.

- Read and understand your Castelan terms
- Report issues promptly within the required timeframe
- Keep all documentation and receipts
- Maintain your furniture and follow care guidance
- Comply with REKLINE’s proof-of-delivery and fraud-prevention protocols
🕎 6. LIMITS OF OUR INVOLVEMENT (REKLINE)
- REKLINE is an introducer only
- We do not provide insurance advice or handle claims
- We cannot guarantee or intervene in Castelan’s decisions

REKLINE provides access to Castelan for your convenience but does not provide personal recommendations. You should review suitability before purchase.
✅ 8. CASTELAN'S LEGAL POSITION
- Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
- Insurance contracts are strictly between you and Castelan
- Claims and complaints must be directed to Castelan

- REKLINE is not the insurer and not financially liable for outcomes
- All claim delays or refusals are Castelan’s responsibility

- Castelan may require evidence, inspections, or documentation
- Castelan liability is limited to repair or replacement of the covered product
- No liability for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use or inconvenience
- Failure to follow REKLINE’s usage, safety, and maintenance instructions may void claims
- REKLINE is not liable in default, negligence, or assumption

🔬 10. GOVERNING LAW
This warranty is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.
