REKLINE Assembly & Old Furniture Removal Policy

🤝 Why This Policy Matters
We want your REKLINE experience to be effortless — from delivery to setup to your first recline. But with heavy, motorised furniture and high-value items, the way assembly and removals are handled can affect your warranty, safety, and refund rights. This policy exists to protect both you and us.
We’re always on your side — but to do that, we need fairness, clarity, and shared responsibility.
🪑 Self-Assembly — Your Choice, Your Responsibility
You’re welcome to assemble your product yourself — but with that freedom comes full responsibility.
- Follow official REKLINE instructions step-by-step
- Damage, forced parts, incorrect wiring, or faults caused by self-assembly void warranty and return rights
- Using independent installers or freelancers is at your own risk
⚠️ If any issue arises later, and the item was not assembled by us, we will investigate. If linked to poor assembly, damage, or misuse, you will not be eligible for refund or free repair.
- Keep all packaging in perfect condition for 30 days
- Take photos or videos of unboxing and final setup
If you ask us to inspect an issue and you cannot provide packaging or photos, we may consider the item used and reject your claim.
🔧 If We Assemble for You — Here’s What It Means
- We offer paid white-glove assembly for most products
- You must inspect the product and sign off to confirm it’s defect-free
- Once packaging is removed and assembly begins, the item is legally considered used
By allowing us to remove packaging, you confirm that:
- The product is correct, undamaged, and complete
- You waive change-of-mind or cooling-off return rights
- Refunds are limited to proven legal defects only
We will inspect all parts, film final installation, and test electrics if safe. If we find electrical issues, we will not plug in the product and will follow our Defects Policy.
Note: Assembly, removal, delivery, collection, and access fees are non-refundable once the service is executed.
⚠️ Risks of Third-Party Installation
We strongly recommend not using freelancers or unqualified handymen for massage chairs, smart beds, recliner sofas, or cinema chairs.
- Wiring mistakes can destroy smart features
- Warranty will be void
- Safety hazards including fire risk
If you proceed, it is entirely at your own risk and all repair costs fall to you.
📦 Packaging — Do Not Throw Away
Packaging is your insurance. It is required to:
- Submit defect or warranty claims
- Prove safe transport and condition
- Qualify for refunds or collections
If packaging is removed:
- The item is considered used
- You accept it in that condition
- Refund rights reduce unless a structural defect is proven
If we remove packaging, this is logged as part of your delivery record.
🛋️ Old Sofa or Bed Removal
- Furniture must be empty, clean, dry, and safe to handle
- No sharp objects, infestation, odour, fluids, or unsafe damage
- We will refuse removal if unsafe or blocking access
Once removed:
- The item is irreversibly destroyed and responsibly disposed of
- It cannot be recovered, returned, or refunded
- This prevents resupply or dispute misuse
🎨 Wall Art, Paintings & Ceiling Fixtures
- We do not hang or fix mirrors, paintings, shelves, lighting, or wall units
- We do not drill walls or attach to ceilings
- Any attempt by you or a third party is at your risk
📣 Fault Reporting — 24 Hours Max
- Report issues within 24 hours of delivery
- Provide a 60-second video, full photos, and a description
- Include your name and order number
If no report is received within 24 hours, the product is assumed checked, approved, and used. Only long-term safety defects remain eligible.
🛡️ Fraud, Misuse & Chargeback Warning
All delivery and assembly is filmed and documented.
- Damaging products post-delivery and claiming defects
- Hiding packaging removal or misuse
- Submitting false evidence or abusing chargebacks
Will result in:
- Warranty and statutory rights voided
- Case referral under our Chargeback & Fraud Protection Policy
- Bank/lender notified with full video evidence
- Legal recovery of losses including civil fraud action
